Megan & Philipp – intimate wedding at Tenuta dei Mori, Italy

Last summer, I got to be a part of the beautiful, intimate wedding of Megan & Philipp. Who got married at Tenuta dei Mori in Umbria Italy. I had only spoken with them on Facetime, but we quickly connected over our love of food, and cats ;-). Planned to perfection by Chechic weddings, this was one for the books! Megan wrote me a message / review that I won’t forget any time soon. I found here words so special that I wanted to share it here with you:

“Let me start by saying that I hate taking pictures. Like, I dread it. And for our wedding, I truly considered not having a photographer…but of course my mother would not let that happen 🙂 … so we looked at a number of photographers, to try to find someone with not only beautiful photos, but someone aligned to our style. I absolutely did not want someone who was in my face – or directing me to move left, move right, do this, do that. I wanted someone behind the scenes, but who would ‘miraculously’ capture a handful of shots that we’d be happy with. Well, Raisa did that…and more. In fact, we had only met Raisa on Skype before the wedding – and yet, she felt like a friend – not a vendor.

She made me feel so at ease – so much so that I never really processed that she was snapping photos as we went. Even when we did our one-on-one shoot with her…she made it fun! She continued to distract me from the fact that she was taking photos … rather, she gave me and my now husband some really wonderful moments with just us on our special day. But the icing on top was when we received even just the preview of her photos.

I’m not going to be able to articulate just how happy we were to look through them together – I felt like I had a permanent smile attached to my face, reliving the moments from our day once again. Raisa captured the most beautiful, loving, joyous moments – and it made me laugh because I realized that it never occurred to me that she was there in those moments, snapping away… We can’t thank Raisa enough for her beautiful work but also her wonderful demeanor … she was so wonderful to work with and I truly hope we have another opportunity to work with her in the future.”
