Every year I write a blogpost in where I reflect on the last year, and in where I look forward to the upcoming year. And évery year I struggle to write this post. But every time it turns out to be worth it. It makes me proud, confident and excited for the year to come. And better yet: it’s a way for me to hopefully let you in on some of my thoughts, to start a conversation and get to know each other a little better.
2016 was my third season as a wedding photographer, it was the first year living together with my boyfriend in Santpoort-Noord, there were trips to Italy, Ibiza, Germany, Austria and Morocco. I had the honour of photographing the weddings of 28 amazing couples, followed a very inspiring workshop in Ostuni, and was a proud vendor at Engaged. I grew as a photographer, as an entrepreneur and as a person. I recently wrote a blogpost of how much of this growth comes from working in the wedding industry.
All this inspired me to help other achieve their dreams as well. I hosted quite some mentor sessions last year and made plans with a friend (Elsa) to start a new company / platform to inspire and help other entrepreneurs – which will go live in 2 weeks (!).
I’m very excited to see what the next year will bring. The Wedding season for 2017 is filling up and there are already quite some travel plans on the agenda that I’m looking forward to. Honestly I can’t wait. But first: let’s enjoy the last few days of 2016 and celebrate the new year this weekend! Below are a just a few of my favorite images from this year :-).
