Driving around Croatia for 1 month

Croatia was not on the schedule. But it definitely should have been…

Let me explain a bit: Erik and I planned to go on a world trip for 7 months. We were planning for a little over 2 years, and were supposed to start our trip in the US and make our way down to Mexico and Costa Rica from there. But: 2020 surprised us, like it did many people ;-). And so… we had to reconsider everything we planned. In the end, we decided to start in Croatia, and to just see where we could go from there. More on that later on my blog, let’s talk Croatia first.

This was my first time visiting this beautiful European country and boy, was I surprised. Croatia is só beautiful. The perfect destination for any tourist, remote worker, travel photographer, family: Croatia has it all. And I can’t wait to go back.

The route we took was:

Split – Sibenik – Rijeka – Rovinj – Motovun – Slunj / Plitvice – Hvar – Dubrovnik

Second stop of our road trip: the beautiful medieval town of Šibenik

Krka National Park I seriously fell in love with Rovinj, this beautiful sea-side town filled with vibrant colors and Italian influences.
